It’s definitely a long-lasting fragrance. I put it on early Wednesday morning and caught a whiff while I was blotting away a waterfall of sweat in HIIT class that night. So that’s like 12 hours.

Man, the scent takes me back too! It smells exactly like Johnson & Johnson’s baby Cologne, and if you were a Filipino child growing up in the ’80s, you probably know what I’m talking about. It was a light citrus, musky scent in a little blue plastic bottle, and you could find it in almost every Filipino house back in the day.

It wasn’t really a perfume that got widespread use among infants, though, because the only people I knew who wore it were adults. Ha! The first time I remember smelling it was on my Lola Em-Em (“Lola” is Tagalog for “grandma,” and Em-Em was my nickname for my grandma’s sister) when she came to visit us from the Philippines. We always had a bottle in our bathroom, usually a gift from a visiting relative.

I got a small sample vial of Malin + Goetz Dark Rum Eau de Parfum at the SpaceNK meetup last Saturday, and the first thing I thought before I tried it was, “I don’t want to smell like a tropical booze cruise.”

But there’s no danger of that! With this you will not smell like you’ve had one too many piña coladas, because it smells like freshly washed laundry instead.

When I was really little, the only time I ever got dried mangoes was when relatives brought them over from the Philippines, so I only got them once or twice a year, but now you can get them in bulk at Costco, which BLOWS MY MIND.

Χαρακτηριστικά στο φεγγάρι και πίσω! Ως επί το πλείστον, όλα τα άλλα που φοράω εδώ είναι από Mac, με εξαίρεση το τι χρησιμοποίησα στα φρύδια μου (NARS φρύδι φρύδι στο Atacama). Το Ίδρυμα είναι ένα μείγμα του Mac Studio Fix στην Κρέμα NC42 και Strobe στο Pinklite, το οποίο επίσης χρησιμοποίησα κάτω από τα μάτια μου για να κρύψω οποιοδήποτε σκοτάδι.

Alternatively: who fell prey to the second weekend of the Sephora VIB Sale? ΧΑΧΑΧΑ! Come on, come clean!

I must’ve inspected to see if the Charlotte Tilbury appeal glow combination had been restocked, oh…about 100 times. never mind that I had signed as much as get a restock notification last week, ha ha ha! Apparently, I really, truly want to go there.

I didn’t though, however I still put a lot of stuff in my cart anyway, just for kicks (including this CT set as well as the Drunk Elephant Marula Oil, which everybody raves about).

Totally not makeup-related, however thanks for all the meal suggestions for feeding guests. I went to Costco over the weekend, got some pre-made dishes as well as side dishes from the refrigerated section, a few salads, as well as a rotisserie poultry (which just occurs to be gluten-free, hooray!). I likewise made a big pot of chili, which has carried over for a number of meals. Seriously, where would I be without you? most likely in a corner rocking myself back as well as forth slowly as well as whispering “safe place, risk-free place.”
